The
first record of Bahá'ís living in Bracknell was
in the mid-1950's when Miss Lisa Grey and her sister who were
then living in Sandhurst, both became Bahá'ís.
The family moved away from the area and Lisa died recently but
her sister is still alive and lives in New Zealand.
It was in October 1988, when there were nine Bahá'ís
living in the area, that the community formed its first Spiritual
Assembly, the local administrative body of the Bahá'í
Faith. From then until now, the community has worked to
promote the Teachings and the
Principles of the Faith.
